Fine Rice flour - 2 cups
Water - 1 1/2 cup
Onion - 2
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Chopped coriander leaves - 1 cup
salt
Oil - 1 cup
Method
1. Put rice flour, grated coconut, coriander leaves, salt and water together in a vessel and mix well. The batter shoud be as shown in picture 1.
2. Now take square shaped butter paper or plantain leaf or aluminium foil whichever you are comfortable with(If you are trying it for the first time, I suggest plantain leaf). I have taken butter paper.
3. Take a spoon of oil and put it on butter paper/plantain leaf/aluminium foil and spread it uniformly. Now take rice flour of small Orange fruit size and spread it on this as shown in picture 2. Do not spread it too thin.
4. Put this on heated tawa so that rotti is on tawa and sheet is upper side as shown in picture 3. After a second, take off the sheet. Cover tawa with a lid. After a second, take off the lid and make rotti upside down so that both sides get cooked. If you get brown spots on both sides of rotti, it does mean that rotti is ready.
Ya...Thats it!!! Have it with coconut chutney.
