This is the famous side dish used in Masala dosa without which Masala dosa is incomplete. This baaji can be used as a side dish for Chapathi also.
Ingredients
Potato/Aloo - 4
Onion - 4
Green chilly - 2 to 3 (Vary as per taste)
Salt
Oil - 2 spoon
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Mustard - 2 spoon
Water - 1 1/2 cup
Method
1. Cook whole potatoes along with its skin and allow it to cool. Once it cools down, peel off the skin and mash the potatoes and keep aside.
2. Cut onions into long pieces and keep aside.
3. Put mustard and chopped green chilly into heated oil and fry until mustard splutters. Now put onion pieces, turmeric powder and water. Cover the lid.
4. Once onions are cooked, put mashed potatoes and salt into it. Mix well and let it be on low flame for 2 seconds. Then turn off the flame.
Now Baaji is ready to be served with Poori/Chapati/Dosa.
