Maavinakai chitranna / Mango rice

This is one of the recipes famous in Karnataka and liked by most of the people. You can use Mango of any variety for this dish. Best type is unripened Totapuri Mango. The sour taste of Mango enriches the taste of chitranna.
To eat as it is, Malgoba is one of the varieties which is very very sweet in taste and I love to hog it. In village sides of Karnataka, you get  a variety called Mundappa Mango which is also very very sweet ans big in size.
